  1. Answer to #7: Quang ordered Kien to stop bandaging him and end his suffering by a bullet to the head. He also told Kien to get away from him because he was about to kill himself with a grenade.

  2. 6. Kien compared the sorrow of heart inside a soldiers heart to a strange way similar to the sorrow of love. It was kind of nostalgia, like the immense sadness of a world at dusk.

  3. #1: The room Kien wrote in was an untidy littered room where the walls were peeling, where the books and newspapers and rubbish packed shelves and corners of the floor, where empty bottles were strewn and where the broken wardrobe was cock-roach infested. The bed's torn mosquito net and blanket was also a mess.
